Our supportive Quality and
Patient Safety Team are looking for a Policy Manager to join the team, managing
and assuring the Policy Library System so there is a cohesive set of policies and
procedures that meet obligations and needs within the regulations and
standards.
In this key role, you will manage the
Controlled Document Management System (Policy Library) to ensure our policies
and procedures are cohesive, aligned with Health New Zealand national
standards, and accessible to staff.
You'll work collaboratively with quality
and patient safety teams, document controllers, and regional and national
leaders to maintain high standards of policy provenance, alignment, and
integrity.
This is an exciting opportunity for an
analytical and system-minded professional who thrives on structure,
collaboration, and enabling best practice across a complex health environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Quality and Patient Safety Teams, document
controllers and other regional and national leaders that are managing the
document control network.
Assure policy is coherent and meets standard content
including key performance indicators, impact assessment, implementation plan,
and alignment with current best practice and legislation.
Manage training and quality assurance processes of delegated
staff to enable them to keep policy and supporting materials up to date in the single
repository.
Specifically, the role is responsible for :
Managing the Controlled Document Management System (Policy
Library) at Waitaha Canterbury to ensure a cohesive set of policies and
procedures aligned to National Policies, with
no duplication, meeting national regulations and standards is in place
and accessible to staff.
About You
You are an agile and experienced
leader with the ability to navigate complexity, influence across levels, and
ensure coherence and compliance across a large organisation.
You combine strong
analytical and policy writing skills with a practical understanding of document
management systems and quality frameworks.
Essential Skills
and Experience
experience in policy management or governance, ideally within a health,
quality, or regulatory environment.
Management experience
written and verbal communication skills and experience at policy writing.
relevant graduate qualification.
in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
year's experience working as a leaderDesirable
graduate university degree preferably in the health clinical domain.
