Tenei turanga - About the Role :
Immigration New Zealand's Immigration Risk and Border (IRB) branch is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head one of two Risk Targeting Analysis teams within the Joint Targeting and Analytics (JTA) unit.
This team plays a vital role in analysing data, intelligence and other information to inform visa and border risk targeting frameworks.
As Manager Risk Targeting Analysis, you will lead a Principal Risk Targeting Analyst, and a team of Senior Risk Targeting Analysts and Risk Targeting Analysts initially focussed on risk targeting in the visa domain.
You will lead the team to develop broader capability across both the visa and border domains in a managed way over time.
Working closely with a colleague Manager Risk Targeting Analysis, you'll be responsible for delivering robust, objective analytical and strategic advice to support decision-making across Visa Operations, Border Operations, Risk and Verification, and wider INZ leadership.
This role is a people and functional leadership position, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, strategic direction-setting, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
You'll work closely with immigration system colleagues and domestic and international partners to ensure immigration risks are identified early and managed effectively.
