Lanocorp New Zealand Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is a key role responsible for spearheading packaging procurement and sourcing new suppliers to support our ongoing innovation and growth.

Operating from our purpose built facility in Rolleston, Canterbury, we are proud to be part of the US-based Elevated Beauty Group. With continued growth and increasing demand from the USA, we are now seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to strengthen our supply chain and drive efficiency.

About the Role

You will be the ideation source for all new product development (NPD) packaging and will also have scope to identify and secure raw material suppliers. Building and maintaining strong relationships in the market, particularly with our Chinese suppliers, means that fluency in Mandarin is essential.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, R&D, Design, and Production to drive fresh packaging and raw material solutions that fuel Lanocorp’s growth.

Responsibilities

Lead procurement for packaging and raw materials, particularly for new product development.

Maintain trust with existing suppliers through clear, open communication while actively forging new international partnerships, with a strong focus on China.

Negotiate the best cost-effective supply agreements while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative packaging and raw material ideas to life.

Ensure procurement processes run smoothly, from orders through to delivery.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you will bring :

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in foreign trade or procurement.
• Fluency in Mandarin to confidently communicate with our Chinese suppliers.
• Proven ability to source and establish strong supplier relationships.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A degree in a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
