Note : Partly is headquartered in the UK, with a Product and Engineering base in Christchurch, and an early presence in San Francisco. If you are not based in Christchurch, we will fly you to HQ for 2 weeks for onboarding, as well as 1 week per quarter for our “Season Openers” (we pay for your travel and accommodation). If you are relocating to Christchurch from NZ or overseas, we can also assist with relocation costs.

️ This role

The role involves unifying scattered automotive data into a single format that drives our clients' business. You will work closely with customers worldwide and collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams.

You will manage the entire data processing workflow—from collection to transformation—requiring knowledge in data science, engineering, and business.

You will report to Rob Simpson, Technical Solutions Manager.

What will you do

• Work with larger customers to understand their business deeply and ensure their success. Address root causes and develop structures for future clients.
• Build business cases based on available data.
• Interpret, collect, ingest, transform, and map parts and vehicle data, generalizing this for data transformation.
• Communicate across teams to solve customer problems and meet deadlines.
• Represent the voice of the customer to our product team by sharing key issues.
• Proactively provide customers with information and answers before they ask.
• Learn, grow, and develop quickly , aiming to become a future leader at Partly.
• Have experience with databases, data analysis, and visualization .
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (or similar languages).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data infrastructure.
• Be detail-oriented yet systems thinking .
• Drive to hit targets and delight customers .
• Excellent verbal communication skills and rapport-building ability.
• Ability to build long-lasting relationships with customers.
• Bonus : Experience in the automotive parts industry.
• Work in a trust-based, low-bureaucracy environment .
