This summer season, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Mountain Bike Trail Builder to join the Coronet Peak team.

This role is central to delivering safe, fun, and high-quality trail experiences for all riders.

You will be responsible for maintaining existing trails, building new lines in existing trails, and ensuring the ongoing safety of our mountain bike network.

You'll work closely with the wider mountain operations team, with day-to-day support available from Patrol and Lifts when needed.

This role will commence in early December and run until April 2026.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve existing mountain bike trails.

Build new features and lines on current trails.

Assess trail conditions and plan maintenance priorities.

Support trail safety management when required.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth mountain operations.

About You

Advanced mountain biking skills and confidence riding a variety of terrain.

Proven experience in trail building and maintenance.

A current New Zealand driver's licence.

Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to assist across departments when needed.

A keen eye for safety and awareness of working in a dynamic alpine environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a trail builder or similar role

In-depth knowledge of trail maintenance and building
