Procurement Advisor

About the role

Our approach to procurement is to empower our staff to carry out their own procurement adhering to our procurement policy and the delegations assigned to each position. Your role is to be a trusted advisor.

You’ll do this by :

• building relationships across the organisation,
• building expertise across a wide range of procurement scenarios, including roading, construction and supply contracts.
• ensuring our policy and good practice processes are followed
• planning, monitoring and reporting on procurement activities across the council
• providing advice and support to the procurement committee
• chairing and supporting tender evaluation panels
• managing our GETS listings

This is a fixed term role, covering a secondment situation until approximately June 2026.
