  • NZQA is on a journey to evolve how assessment works for learners across the motu. We're looking for a
  • Project Advisor
  • to support engagement and change activities within the Assessment Division — someone who's practical, people-focused, and ready to make a difference.This role is about making sure our kaimahi and stakeholders are informed, involved, and supported as we explore future changes to how we work. You'll be part of a small, agile team to design and deliver engagement that's inclusive, strategic, and grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • What you'll do :
  • Lead and support engagement activities that bring people together
  • Develop clear, accessible resources and communications that reflect diverse perspectives.
  • Collaborate across teams and agencies
  • Champion the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive practice in everything you do.

  • You're someone who brings energy, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. You're comfortable navigating complexity, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and translating ideas into action.
  • Proven experience in engagement, change, or project management—ideally in the public sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced programme environment.
