NZQA is on a journey to evolve how assessment works for learners across the motu. We're looking for a
Project Advisor
to support engagement and change activities within the Assessment Division — someone who's practical, people-focused, and ready to make a difference.This role is about making sure our kaimahi and stakeholders are informed, involved, and supported as we explore future changes to how we work. You'll be part of a small, agile team to design and deliver engagement that's inclusive, strategic, and grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
What you'll do :
Lead and support engagement activities that bring people together
Develop clear, accessible resources and communications that reflect diverse perspectives.
Collaborate across teams and agencies
Champion the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive practice in everything you do.

You're someone who brings energy, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. You're comfortable navigating complexity, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and translating ideas into action.
Proven experience in engagement, change, or project management—ideally in the public sector.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced programme environment.
