Job Purpose
To support the Centre Shared Services team in managing and overseeing operations, events management, budgets and general administration of the Research Centres and related research funds.
Job Description
- Oversee and implement operational as well as research budgets for the centre, ensuring compliance with University / stakeholders policies.
- Manage centre-related events, i.e. conferences, symposiums and workshops.
- Organise and minute executive committee and advisory board meetings.
- Facilitate the recruitment and hosting of academic visitors and researchers.
- Maintain the Centre's website and social media accounts.
- Conceptualise publicity materials.
- Other related administrative duties assigned by the Centres' director and deputy director.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years experience in general administration / secretariat work / events management. Candidates without experience with a keen interest in events management / social media / corporate services may be considered.Well versed with Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with social media applications, Canva and / or Adobe photoshop will be an advantage.Service-oriented, meticulous, with a willingness to learn, and a team player.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive circumstances.Possesses a pleasant disposition with good written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
