About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Adviser Risk to join our Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Insurance team.
This team provides expert advice, guidance and support to help the business manage enterprise risk and compliance and minimise financial losses through insurance.
Developing and implementing a best practice enterprise risk framework that ensures MBIE manages risk effectively across all Three Lines.
Working with other risk and assurance teams to coordinate risk management and reporting.
Coordinating regular risk reporting across MBIE to ensure our Senior Leadership team, governance committees and our Risk and Advisory committee have the right information to govern risk management at MBIE.
Collaborating with specialist risk practitioners and internal teams to ensure timely and relevant risk information.
It's ideal for a current Senior Risk Advisor wanting to move into enterprise-level risk or an experienced advisor ready to step up.
A background in assurance, risk, or compliance will support success in this role, which offers strong professional growth and impact.
The position reports to the Head of Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Insurance within MBIE's Strategy and Assurance Group.

Experience working in risk, compliance or assurance in a large or complex organisation.
A track record of working with effective risk management strategies.
Strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
A strong delivery drive.
The ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships.
The legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
