About us
Child Cancer Foundation is a New Zealand charity that provides support to children and families on their cancer journey. We support them every step of the way, helping them overcome challenges and maintain control of their lives.
We focus on the whānau, not the cancer. No two families’ experiences are the same, and neither is the nature of the support they need.
Our vision is ‘To walk alongside and support all children and their families on their cancer journey and advance improvements to child cancer care’ .
We are guided by our values that help us deliver our vision. Our values are :
Tautiaki | Trust
Each and every role play an integral in what we do. Our National Street Appeal Campaign is one of our biggest fundraisers and we need a superstar to support our Wellington & Christchurch regions.
About the role
Our National Street Appeal Campaign is one of Child Cancer Foundation’s largest fundraising events . Volunteers from across the country come together to collect donations and raise awareness for the tamariki and whānau we support.
To bring this campaign to life, we’re looking for an energetic and organised Regional Street Appeal Coordinator to support the Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch regions.
You will be responsible for coordinating collateral and local volunteers to ensure collection sites achieve maximum potential during our annual street collection. This will include recruiting a team of volunteers who you will manage and inspire to motivate them to meet and exceed our fundraising target.
Everything to do with logistics to ensure the day runs smoothly will fall within your remit - from ensuring each site has a permit to organising collateral for your volunteers, from bucket collection and depositing money. Not only is the National Street Appeal day a busy one, it requires a lot of pre-planning so being organised is your strength.
Being able to problem solve (as there are always curve balls!), build strong relationships, communicate well and show appreciation for our volunteers who give up their time will set you apart from others.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role, perfect for someone who is organised, adaptable, and thrives on building connections . Your ability to problem-solve under pressure and keep volunteers motivated will be key to your success.
This is a part time, fixed term role, start date is early October 2025 until late March 2026. The hours of work will be approximately 15-20 hours per week but will increase a few weeks leading up to the campaign date.
