DESIGNATION
Learning Support Trainer
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Learning Support Trainer (LST) sits within the hub and reports to the Lead Learning Support Trainer (LLST) - and there is a matrix reporting back to the Lifelong Learning Department (LLD).
The LST delivers MINDS Adult Curriculum (AC) modules (managed by the Lifelong Learning Department) to the Hubs, aimed at improving clients' independent living and daily functioning outcomes through structured and adaptive learning.
Deliver Adult Curriculum
- Collaborate with Learning Coaches (from LLD) to ensure smooth roll-out of the Adult Curriculum in collaboration with the Centre's Training Officers (TOs) and relevant AHPs
- Conduct and administer assessments with support and inputs from TOs to monitor progress of clients' learning in a timely manner
- Work with Learning Coaches to provide progress reports on roll-out of AC to LLST and LLD
- Work with LLST on the lesson delivery, lesson planning and provide feedback relating to the AC
- Provide customization and adaption of lesson plans to meet the learning needs of the clients with the support of Learning Coaches.
- Provide customisation and adaptation to lesson delivery and resources with Person-Centred Approach mindset
- Develop and prepare home-based learning resources to support caregivers in their involvement in the learning for clients at home
- Monitor the implementation of the home-based learning resources and conduct bite-sized sharing for caregivers when necessary.
- Collaborate with partners to produce customised resources for the delivery of AC
- Provide support for vendor / partner led AC implementation.
- Work with Learning Coaches to assess and curate vendor offerings to ensure that they are able to adapt their activities and content to suit the client profile, including providing timely feedback to vendors if there are observable gaps in their delivery
Knowledge Management
Manage a resource library of programme activities, resources and tools to be used by LSTs, TOs and ground staffWork with Learning Coaches and LLST to source for suitable resourcesMonitor the usage of resources and feedback to Learning Coaches on their effectivenessAdministrative
Perform administrative duties such as customisation of training plans, carrying out of caregiver conferences, performing evaluations, course-specific assessments and charting of outcomesWork with Learning Coaches to monitor the quality and impact of lessons by external vendors when they deliver aspects of ACMonitor the use of tools for learning such as IMR, iPads, games and Smartboards and provide feedback and suggestions to Learning CoachesManage the use of Learning Devices and all related apps including acquiring of apps for purchase.Collaboration and Training
Monitor the progress of the clients' learning by administering assessment and through observationsManage the conduct of the AC by external vendor, partners or volunteers and support the delivery of lessons to each unit by ensuring that each client accessing the lessons are meeting their learning needsEnsure the conduct of assessment within the hub by vendors for monitoring progress and programme outcome of vendor / partner led ACMonitor the conduct of generalisation of skills by TOs in day-to-day activitiesQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or Community Services or training-related fields with at least 2 years working experience.OTHER INFORMATION
