OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organised Office Assistant to join our team in Wellington on a fixed term part-time contract until the end of the year (possible extension).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office by performing a variety of administrative tasks.
We require someone from approximately 8am-10am Monday to Friday.If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you!
ResponsibilitiesMaintain a tidy kitchen and ensure supplies are stocked weekly.Ensure the office runs smoothly by collecting mail and ordering stationery.Liaise with service suppliers to ensure smooth running of their services, such as cleaners and plant suppliers.Administer building maintenance issues, including coordinating and supervising tradespeople as required.Assist with organizing company events, such as monthly staff lunches and annual flu vaccinations.Carry out administrative onboarding tasks for new employees, including criminal and background checks.Facilitate offboarding processes for departing staff members.Ensure earthquake / disaster supplies are in order and current.Participate in the Health & Wellbeing Committee meetings and support other H&S related activities.Perform general office assistant duties and errands as required.Experience & Personal QualitiesExperience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with limited supervision.Able to take initiative and start tasks without being asked.Able to orchestrate multiple activities at once.Approachable and friendly demeanor.Organized and efficient with time management.Ability to be in the office for 5 days per week at typical staff arrival times.Previous experience as an office assistant or similar role is helpful but not essential.How to ApplyTo apply please submit your CV and cover letter via this link : ?
