ELI works across a range of environmental domains, including oceans, freshwater, biodiversity and conservation, climate change, and environmental pollution.Our values are : Impact – we make a differenceExcellence – we deliver resultsIntegrity – we hold ourselves to accountRelevant – we keep up with the playPartnership – we are stronger because we work togetherRole purposeThe role is responsible for the oversight of ELI's day-to-day administrative function to enable and ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.ResponsibilitiesThe role responsibilities are : ManagementMaintain and improve operational systems, processes, and best practicesProvide HR oversight, including documenting leave, and operation of payroll systemEnsure that ELI administration and financial transactions are in compliance with ELI policyOversee the management of the ELI offices ensuring that the office runs smoothlyAdministration & FinancesOperation of ELI's administrative functions including payroll, payables, and general financial activitiesOperation of ELI's XERO systemOversight of ELI's fundraising systems including donation processing and receiptingOversee ELI's IT system, acting as the point of contact with the IT provider where necessary, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted service for staffFinancial reportingProvide monthly and annual reporting on ELI projects and activities to trustees, including financial reportingPreparation and support of Governance Function – monthly papers, reports, agendas & minutesOtherAny other reasonable duties as required.
