We're curators of tales, weaving together New Zealand and Pacifica's rich history, culture, and landscape through thoughtfully chosen books, ephemera, art and objects, both new and old.Due to open this Spring, we are now seeking a Assistant Store Manager to join us from opening, to work with the Directors to grow our exciting new online store and our Mt Eden destination shop.We are very open minded about who can make a great addition to our new business and to our little family team!

You will have a real passion for and ideally background knowledge relevant to our mission, and ideally have previous retail experience in a similar setting.

A fascination with geography, science or New Zealand's social and cultural history will be a distinct advantage!

As Assistant Store Manager you will be sole charge up to three days per week, working with the owners to run the store, manage on line transactions, and develop the stories and content that make Ance.dote unique - a place people will return to time and time again.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Directors to run the store and grow the online store from opening.Manage online transactions and customer service.Develop the stories and content that make Anec.dote unique.QualificationsPassion for our mission and relevant background knowledge.Previous retail experience in a similar setting (preferred).

A fascination with geography, science or New Zealand's social and cultural history (advantage).
