About the role
This is a Permanent full-time position for a minimum of 30 hours a week, with the potential for increased hours based on workload. The pay rate is competitive, ranging from $30-$32 / - an hour, and can be negotiated for the right candidate. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing accounting firm.
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :
- Responsible for Keeping financial records of the clients by using XERO Accounting Software
- Maintaining accurate accounts of clients using XERO Accounting Software
- Processing journal entries, allocating expenses to the specific ledger codes in the XERO Accounting Software for clients
- You will be entrusted with the task of handling our accounts, payables, and receivables, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness for clients.
- Allocating transactions against the payment based on remittance received from Debtors and processing adjustments if required.
- Regular Banking and Bank Reconciliation after posting all the income and expense entries through the journal ledger and verifying the closing balance with the reconciled amount
- Compile, analyse, and create reports on updated financial data, such as balance sheets and income statements, comparing them to previous reports.
- Prepare Financial statements, examine them using the accounting tools of XERO Accounting Software for clients.
- Manage all accounting transactions and report statements, such as financial statements consisting of profit and loss (Income and expense) Statements, balance sheets (Assets and liabilities), and cash flow statements (operating, investing, and financing activities).
- Any related work as assigned by the management within the scope of Accounting and Bookkeeping general practice.
- Keep work-hour records of the employees of the clients and prepare payroll on a timely basis.
- Prepare PAYE of the employees of the clients using Xero Payroll and maintain records.
- Ensure that all transactions are done and recorded accurately at the right time.
- Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to the owner / director of the company.
- Preparing invoices, bills to pay and reconcile them in a timely manner.
