Associate Food Designer

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Graduate Research & Development Technologist internally known as a Research, Development & Innovation Trainee Designer, to join our team working at our Mount Maunganui site and reporting to the Design Team Manager.

This is a full-time temporary position for 12 months, that has key functional relationships with many facets of the business.ResponsibilitiesSupport projects from a technical point of view, from concept to commercialisation for a variety of markets in the Oceania and Greater Asia regions, while also assisting with other Taura markets when required.

As a Trainee / Graduate, you will support members of the team with projects rather than lead them yourself.Technical contact in conjunction with another technologist for customer led new product development projects including the preparation of specifications, costings & compliance information & conducting trialsTechnical support to key customers including operations, commercial & external customersTravel from time to timeSupporting global innovation projectsIdentification & supporting the implementation of continuous improvement opportunitiesRaw material assessmentsQualifications & attributesBachelor's degree – Food Technology or similar1+ years in Product Development / Research & Development roles within the food industryCreative & able to think outside the box with a passion for foodConfidence in interpreting the New Zealand Australia Food Standards CodeProactive & able to drive progressExcellent written & oral communication skillsHigh level of attention to detailAn enthusiastic, flexible team player with a high level of personal integrityWe are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
