Credit Control Team Member

Auckland Council’s Financial Transactions department has an exciting opportunity to join the Credit Control team on a fixed-term basis for 9 months.

This role is located in the city center, with onsite amenities such as a café, and offers a great team environment. The Credit Control team manages Council’s debt by reducing liabilities and overseeing debt collection processes.

As a member of the Credit Control team, your responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service and resolving escalations efficiently. You may also have the opportunity to manage debt in other portfolios for learning and development purposes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include :

• Handling inbound and outbound calls
• Managing customer accounts promptly, including monitoring and follow-ups
• Preparing cases for legal action when necessary

He kōrero mōu : About you

The role requires 3-5 years of experience in credit control or debt collection roles. Proven experience in debt management and understanding of its complexities, along with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service, are essential.
