Your impact will be felt across the organisation, driving smarter decisions, sustainable growth, and a more resilient future.ResponsibilitiesShape category strategy – design and refine sourcing strategies that deliver value, resilience, and sustainability.Drive smart decisions – analyse spend and market trends to spot risks and unlock opportunities.Own supplier relationships – lead negotiations, manage contracts, and build long-term partnerships that deliver performance and innovation.Protect business continuity – anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks, resolving issues quickly without losing sight of long-term goals.Act with agility – step in to resolve short-term supply issues swiftly and effectively, minimising disruption while safeguarding long-term strategy.Deliver measurable value – achieve cost savings, TCO improvements, and maximise impact through consolidation and strategic sourcing.Partner with the business – collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procurement meets evolving business needs.Boost supplier performance – implement SRM strategies that drive collaboration, quality, and ESG outcomes.Champion improvement – lead key projects, embed continuous improvement, and advance sustainable procurement.Lead with impact – support governance, compliance, and team capability, helping to build the future of procurement at Douglas.Qualifications8+ years in procurement and supply chain, including 5+ years delivering results across private and government sectors.Build, implement, and continuously refine strategies across relevant categories.Sharp commercial acumen with proven strength in strategy, financial management, and high-value contract negotiations.Experience in running full tender life cycle.Skilled change leader with a track record in driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence.Confident communicator with outstanding business case writing, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.Tech-savvy, with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Suite, Power BI and database management.Strong quality and compliance mindset, with exposure to GMP, health & safety, and regulated manufacturing environments.Tertiary qualified in Management, or Supply Chain, or equivalentAccreditation with MCIPS desirable.Recognised for energy, professionalism, perseverance, and a passion for procurement that inspires others.Benefits & CultureAward-winning culture – Join a team that's genuinely a great place to work (and we've got the awards to prove it).
