Maestro Music School, established in 2019, is a regionally recognized music school known for delivering high-quality programs tailored to the needs of both children and adults.

We offer a wide range of courses including Piano, Violin, Cello, Drums, Guitar, String Ensemble, and Grade Exam preparation, available through both private and group lessons.

As our business continues to grow, we have recently opened a new studio in Ellerslie, Auckland.

To meet the increasing demand, we are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Music Teacher (Piano Specialist).

Position Details

Type : Full-time, permanent

Hours : Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week (typically 30–40 hours)

Remuneration

Hourly rate : $36–$45, depending on skills and teaching experience in New Zealand

The minimum skills, experience and qualifications for the role

Relevant Bachelor or higher degree

Strong musical ability, as well as proven piano skills and knowledge.

Some relevant music teaching experience is preferred

Patience ,and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Hours of work : maximum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed.

Your duties may include but not limited to :

• Plan and deliver piano lessons tailored to individual students or groups based on their prior knowledge and learning goals
• Select suitable teaching materials and adjust instruction to match students' skill levels
• Teach and reinforce music theory as part of the piano curriculum
• Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress
• Revise and improve course content, materials, and teaching methods as needed
• Prepare students for piano grade examinations, competitions, performances, and assessments
• Maintain open communication with parents and students regarding progress and learning goals
• Respond promptly to student and parent inquiries about piano learning
