Management AccountantThe purpose of this role is to be an interface between the New Zealand Finance Function, Internal / External Stakeholders and shared service centre in Chennai.
Performing Cost analysis, Month-end closures, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, supporting Budget preparation, resolving queries and undertaking tasks relating to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Cash Management.
This incumbent reports to the Financial Controller.Key Responsibilities : Month-End Closing - Facilitate a seamless and efficient month-end closure by executing the following responsibilities : Conduct month-end provision analysis, posting, and reconciliation schedules.Finalise domestic sales closure, including raw milk transactions.Perform inter-company reconciliation.Prepare and submit the IT Functional Report.Compile and submit the Credit Exposure Report to the Risk Office.Develop detailed balance sheet schedules.Prepare and post journal entries (JVs) for adjustments, accruals, reclassifications, and MADCAP-SAP interface.Execute asset settlement and RoU (IFRS16) entries and reconciliation.Gather relevant data to compile the monthly operational KPI sheet.Assist the Financial Controller in preparing monthly dashboard reports.Undertake any additional tasks as required.Budget Preparation and Support -Assist in the annual budget exercise by : Supporting the preparation of the annual budgeting process, including operations and capital expenditures.Preparing and analysing actual versus budget working capital.Communicating with department heads to obtain relevant data and support.Developing templates for bottom-up budget construction.Collaborating with various departments to establish budget KPIs.Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP / AR) - Execute generalist AP / AR tasks, including : Processing FEC to SAP (if not automated or done offshore).
Maintaining the Delegation of Authority (DOA) Matrix and Bank Register.Ensuring the DOA is updated, published, and available for audit.Keeping the bank detail register updated, including signatories, accounts, and traders (required for audit).
Assisting the AR team with allocation queries.Completing AP / AR aging reports and follow-ups.Managing the expense management system.Reviewing GRIR accounts and conducting general clean-up, problem resolution, and training.Operations & Strategic Development - Maintain daily operations and support the Financial Controller in reviewing and monitoring company strategies to achieve sustainable development : Analyse costs, pricing, inventory holding, FG production, sales movements, and business performance compared to forecast / budget.Gain a detailed understanding of dairy manufacturing and production operations to streamline processes and become a strategic business partner.Discuss monthly performance, cost variances, and KPIs with various departments, agreeing on actions or future paths.Interact and respond to inquiries from other Olam entities appropriately.Provide support during year-end and internal audits, liaising with auditors as required.An ideal candidate possesses the followingTertiary qualification in Finance / (CA / CPA qualified preferred)Minimum Five (5) years' experience in a similar role in a Large Manufacturing company.
