About the Role

This is a new and exciting opportunity to take full ownership of staff and contractor payroll at a company that values innovation and improvement. You’ll be at the heart of our operations making an impact with every pay run and process you enhance. You’ll enjoy responsibility, variety, and support in a role where you’ll never be bored. There will be lots of support and a thorough handover, then the role will be in a sole charge capacity once you’re up and running.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll for permanent staff and a large contractor base (weekly / monthly via Astute) - this will be approx 70% of the role.
• Calculate and report on commissions (currently via spreadsheet, so you’re an Excel superstar!)
• End-to-end AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
• Lead payroll system improvement projects, including implementation and automation where suitable
• Support the Group Finance Lead and CEO with month-end reporting and compliance
• We need a confident communicator who can remain calm, and build trust with our networks as well as internally.
