Senior Manager - Tax & Enterprise

About the role

As a Senior Manager in our Tax & Enterprise team, you’ll play a key role in leading client engagements and providing high-quality advice across a range of tax matters - including corporate, international, M&A, compliance and strategy. You’ll work with iconic New Zealand brands, global corporates, private businesses, entrepreneurs, and HNW individuals.

• Client leadership - Act as a trusted advisor on complex tax matters, deepen client relationships, and deliver tailored solutions.
• Engagement delivery - Lead multiple client projects, manage budgets, ensure high-quality and timely outcomes, and contribute to growth opportunities.
• Technical expertise - Provide guidance on corporate tax, international tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and M&A, staying across evolving legislation and regulatory requirements.
• People leadership - Manage and develop a team of tax professionals, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Contribution to strategy - Support the direction of the Tax & Enterprise team by contributing insights and identifying opportunities in the market.
• Risk management - Ensure compliance with PwC’s standards and policies while helping clients mitigate tax-related risks.

Essential experience and attributes include 7+ years’ experience in tax advisory with team leadership responsibilities, proven ability to manage multiple engagements and complex tax issues, strong technical knowledge of New Zealand and international tax, and excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
