An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Specialist to join a well-established and supportive finance team based in Auckland. Please note - this is a part-time position, requiring 32 hours per week (Monday - Thursday)

You will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes for multiple stores, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity at all times. Key Responsibilities

• As a Payroll Specialist based in Auckland, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing comprehensive payroll operations for multiple stores. Your day-to-day activities will involve;
• Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs for multiple stores with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all changes are accurately captured within tight deadlines.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive payroll information and documentation at all times.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and year-end reports for stores as required by management or the payroll team.
• Respond promptly and professionally to queries from stores, providing clear guidance and support on payroll matters whenever needed.
• Ensure full compliance with tax regulations by managing IRD filings and payments such as PAYE, Student Loan deductions, Child Support, Kiwi Saver contributions, and ESCT accurately and on time.
• Assist with annual ACC reconciliation payments to ensure all statutory obligations are met without error.
• On-board new store employees onto the payroll bureau system efficiently while supporting ongoing maintenance of employee records.
• Participate actively in gathering member feedback to assess satisfaction levels with payroll services and identify areas for enhancement.
• Contribute to the review and improvement of service quality by implementing changes based on customer feedback and membership needs.
• Support business excellence initiatives by assisting in process improvements that enhance workplace methods, practices, quality, and productivity.
