Telecommunications Technician

As a Telecommunications Technician, you'll support the operation and maintenance of our communications systems and cable networks. Working under supervision, you'll gain hands-on experience with radio communication systems, fibre and copper cabling, train control equipment, and transmission systems.

You'll :

• Carry out operational tasks on communications equipment and cable networks.
• Assist with fault finding and testing of radio systems.
• Perform manual work, including safe use of tools and plant.
• Accurately document and record work.
• Take part in training, toolbox meetings, and team decision-making.

This role is based at a local depot, with some travel required. You'll often be working outdoors and at times staying away overnight.
