Our rail network links people, communities, and businesses across the country.He whakamarama mo te turanga mahi | About the roleAs a Telecommunications Technician, you'll support the operation and maintenance of our communications systems and cable networks.

Working under supervision, you'll gain hands-on experience with radio communication systems, fibre and copper cabling, train control equipment, and transmission systems.Carry out operational tasks on communications equipment and cable networks.Assist with fault finding and testing of radio systems.Perform manual work, including safe use of tools and plant.Accurately document and record work.Take part in training, toolbox meetings, and team decision-making.This role is based at a local depot, with some travel required.
