We are seeking a visionary Observatory Manager to lead our operations, inspire our team, and create unforgettable experiences for discerning guests from around the world. - Lead a world‑class Astro Team : Recruit, train, and manage expert astronomy guides to deliver unforgettable luxury guest experiences and hospitality.
- Curate Exceptional Experiences : Create and deliver stargazing tours, Billion Star Dining, private events, and seasonal celestial programs, blending science, storytelling, and immersive luxury.
- Champion Brand & Community : Deliver quarterly community outreach, promote the observatory internationally, and elevate its reputation as NZ’s premier astrotourism destination.
What We’re Looking For
Exceptional guest engagement, storytelling, and event management skills.Proven leadership with experience managing specialized teams.Solid knowledge of astronomy, astrophotography, cultural storytelling (particularly Te Ao Māori), and science communication, with a real love for sharing it with the community.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at special celestial events such as Matariki.Why Join Us
