    About the Role

    Right now, we’re inviting student midwives,graduating in 2025 and available for the 2026 Graduate programme to put theirname forward as an Expression of Interest, to Timaru Hospital.

    The programme we offer is supportiveand encouraging and set in a great place to begin your midwifery career. We aimto assist you in further developing your clinical practice and criticalthinking skills with a programme and environment that supports your individualneeds. Our programme is designed to facilitate the smooth transition fromstudent to practising midwife and the 14-month programme includessupernumerary, reflective, and study days.

    Jean Todd Maternity Service is based inTimaru Hospital and provides care to women in SouthCanterbury averaging around 550 births a year, ranging from normal and low-riskto complex and high-needs.
