About the Role

The Senior Resource Management Officer sits within our South Canterbury team and consists of a mix of both office and field-based work. This role has a focus on proactively engaging with communities and customers, resource users, rūnanga, and stakeholders to support real change in the on-the-ground management of natural resources.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret legal information and be confident to apply this within a structured legal framework.
  • Apply a continuous improvement and solutions mindset
  • Collaborate and engage with other projects, teams and colleagues
  • Report writing
  • Provide input and support the development of colleagues and others
  • About You

    You’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant compliance, legal administration or account management related field.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively engage with people
  • Capable of collaborating shared learnings with team members
  • Work independently and proactively

  • Proven experience in applying legal regulations and frameworks OR compliance related functions
