Contracts Administrator
Role type : Permanent, 24 hours per weekLocation : WellingtonSalary : $60,750 to $75,000 per annum (pro-rated) based on skills and experience.
About the Role
As a Contracts Administrator, you will support efficient procurement and contract management for the Chemical and Microbiological Assurance team.
Your key responsibilities include managing contract documentation, deliverables, and processes for development, variations, and the contract management framework.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a framework for tracking and monitoring the performance of all contracts managed by the team.
Lead the administration processes involved in developing contracts and managing associated variations.
Provide procurement and contract-related monitoring and administrative support.
Review, edit, and improve contract documentation.
Liaise with external service providers, managing administrative tasks related to contract and operational meetings.
Maintain and enhance contract-related administrative systems and processes.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve effectiveness.
Contribute to the Assurance Quality Management System and ensure procedures are developed, adhered to, and up to date.
Support various shared responsibilities as needed.
About You
To be successful, you will have experience providing administrative expertise in a large and complex organisation.
Specifically :
Experience in contract administration processes.
The ability to maintain effective relationships with customers and meet their expectations.
Understanding of budgets in a contract management context.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
A collaborative nature and a 'can-do' attitude.
In addition, you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative, team-focused and proactive approach, strong planning and coordination skills, well-developed stakeholder engagement abilities, and the ability to see the big picture while maintaining focus on detail.
About the Team
The Chemical and Microbiological Assurance team manages contracts with external service providers that enable programme delivery across various sectors.
This team is accountable for major chemical and microbiological food monitoring programmes and works closely with MPI's procurement and contract management processes.
