About the RoleAs the Nurse Lead / Nurse Manager, you will be at the heart of our medical centre operations.

This leadership role is vital in managing people, systems, processes, resources, and the clinical environment to ensure safe, effective, and high-standard patient care.

You'll play a key role as part of the centre's leadership team, contributing to overall planning and performance, improving health outcomes for patients and population groups.

This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week across 5 days from Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a diverse clinical team including Registered Nurses and Practice Care Assistants.

Manage daily nursing operations, recruitment, and resource allocation.

Balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on clinical duties.

Collaborate with centre leadership to develop innovative care models and improve health outcomes.

Drive quality improvement initiatives and support continuous professional development within your team.

Key Attributes and Requirements

Current New Zealand Registered Nurse practising certificate and CPR certification.

Must have or at least Preferred to have management experience

Proven experience in primary care or accident and medical settings.

Strong leadership skills

Leadership capability and a "can-do" attitude toward problem-solving.

Friendly, approachable, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and performance coaching skills.

Advanced computer literacy and the ability to manage change with flexibility and resilience.

Passion for delivering equitable healthcare aligned with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Postgraduate qualifications and quality improvement experience are highly desirable.
