Position description :
Brooklyn Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Session Facilitator to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community for one session per week.
You will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child led play and positive guidance.
You will be a hands-on team member who encourages others to thrive; you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whanau to gain confidence to have a go themselves.
Start date : 29 October 2025
Days & hours :
Wednesdays 8 : 45am - 12 : 45pm, 4 hours per week.
This is a permanent position, during school term time only.
The candidate must have :
The Playcentre C3 qualification or the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care L4 or a higher ECE qualification or a Primary Teaching qualification with the Playcentre Primary Teacher Bridging Award, for licencing purposes.
A current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to complete this.

Desirable skills and experience will include :
An ability to support and empower parents, whanau, and caregivers in their role as Kaiako.
A passion for supporting Te Reo Maori and tikanga and engaging all whanau to feel a sense of belonging on our session.
