JOB TITLE
System Administrator (DMERI)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting with setting up of IT systems in the Division, including requirement gathering and implementation of suitable hardware and software solutions
Installation of software on servers / end point devices, and testing and troubleshooting after installation, where applicable
Assisting with implementation and maintenance of IT security of systems / devices in accordance with DSO Cybersecurity Policy
Performing periodic preventive and corrective maintenance, updates and upgrades to software / hardware in the Division, including operating systems, end point devices and applications
Performing audit of IT systems to ensure compliance with DSO IT Security Policy
Providing advices to Division staff on IT related matters
Maintaining database of IT systems and endpoint devices in the Division, and provide reports to the Division Management on the status of the systems and devices
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree / Diploma in Computer and Information Science / Computer and Network Technology / Computer & Networking / Computer Science / Computer Science and Systems / Information Technology
Strong analytical skill with aptitude in dealing with technical and operational problems
Knowledge and hands on experience in the following areas would be an advantage : Windows environment and security applications, Linux environment and security applications, database administration, IT asset management
Proficiency in OS and software patch management via patch management software
Candidates with the following certificates are preferred : CompTIA related certificate, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft 365 certified
