You would be working in a strong leadership team with other Nurse educator, Associate Charge Nurse Managers, and the Charge Nurse Manager, which offers the chance for professional and personal development.The Nurse Educator will be an expert in educational delivery, facilitation of education by specialists and assessing the educational needs of the nursing team.
This role is critical in ensuring and maintaining essential nursing standards and leading the implementation of nursing education, change and skill development in a multi-specialty ward.
The majority of the work will take place on morning shifts, Monday to Friday, however it is expected that each NE will be available to work in the afternoon, night and weekend shifts from time to time to ensure the educational requirements of staff working those shifts are met.You will be responsible for providing leadership in the clinical environment and to bring about practice improvements.You will provide ongoing support for the nursing team with their PDRP progression and help the nursing team to maintain essential core nursing skills and develop area related specialty skills.

Ideally, you will bring to this role prior experience in a surgical or acute nursing environment.
An excellent communicator, you will have a positive, enthusiastic and proactive manner that instils confidence in patients and colleagues.
Awareness of and sensitivity to individual and cultural differences is essential.You will need to bring a passion for teaching and developing staff to meet their full potential.
Ideally you will have a qualification in adult teaching / learning or be willing to undertake this.
