You would be working in a strong leadership team with other Nurse Educators, Associate Charge Nurse Managers, and the Charge Nurse Manager, which offers the chance for professional and personal development.The Nurse Educator will be an expert in educational delivery, facilitation of education by specialists and assessing the educational needs of the nursing team.
This role is critical in ensuring and maintaining essential nursing standards and leading the implementation of nursing education, change and skill development in a multi-specialty ward.You will be responsible for providing leadership in the clinical environment and to bring about practice improvements.You will provide ongoing support for the nursing team with their PDRP progression and help the nursing team to maintain essential core nursing skills and develop area related specialty skills.
The nursing team cares for patients across both cardiology and cardiothoracic specialties.
You will be supported by a committed and focused nursing management team incorporating a Charge Nurse Manager, Associate Charge Nurse Managers, and Clinical Nurse Educators.About you
You also need to be registered with the Nursing Council of NZ as a Registered Nurse, and have a Bachelor of Nursing (or relevant qualification).
