About the Role
Based in Rotorua, the Nurse Educator is an essential part of the Te Manawa Taki Senior Nursing team.
This permanent, part-time role (0.7FTE), supports continuing professional development and the delivery of evidence- based nursing practice across Public Health Nursing services.
Nurse Educators are responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating and revising continuing education programmes.
They are critical in assuring quality educational experiences that prepare the nursing workforce for a diverse, ever-changing health care environment.
They are the leaders who document the outcomes of educational programmes and guide students and nursing staff through the learning process.

About you
You are a professional leader and role model, with proven ability to inspire, motivate and develop others.
You'll be able to work collaboratively across the sector and organisational boundaries to influence the nursing contribution to better outcomes for our whanau and communities.
In this role you will be able work with senior nurses to assess education and workforce needs and identify strategies to implement and evaluate identified education programmes.
You'll be able to support the learning need of Public Health Nurses working across the system, for example, Pacific and Maori Nursing Groups.
You will be an experienced Senior Registered Nurse with proven expert nursing knowledge and skills to provide support to lead a team.
