Overview

Sitting in the heart of Christchurch's hospitality scene with a front row view of the Avon river are Chiwahwah and Zodiac. Chiwahwah is like taking a trip to Mexico, surrounded by rustic ceiling work, beehive-like light installations, Mexican flora and animals donned with sombreros. Right next door is Zodiac, a stylish popular venue serving modern Asian cuisine in the unique surroundings of our aquarium. At both venues we are looking for experienced waitstaff who can deliver outstanding customer service and serve food and beverages in line with our selling system. Our crew are encouraged to showcase their personalities and have fun, while efficiently recognising and delivering on guest needs to ensure a positive lasting impression.

Responsibilities

• Positively meeting and greeting guests and delivering information about our offerings to enhance the experience
• Attending regular in-house beverage, food and service training and completing training modules
• Clearing and resetting tables, ensuring cleanliness of the restaurant and taking orders to enter into POS
• Processing electronic and cash payments
• Serving beverages over the bar
• Working in a fast-paced environment, motivating yourself to learn about our offerings and service

Qualifications / Requirements

Compensation and Hours

This is a full-time role – minimum 30 hours per week. Pay range is between $25 and $29 per hour based on experience. Must be available to work nights, weekends and over the busy summer months.
