OverviewWarehouse Team Leader role based in Takanini.
You will report to the National Warehouse Manager and serve as a senior member of the warehousing team, especially when the Warehouse Manager is away.
This is a Warehouse Operator role with added leadership responsibilities.
Shift pattern : Monday – Friday 08 : 00AM – 04 : 30PM.
This is a long-term, permanent role for the right person.ResponsibilitiesAllocating resources across the teams within warehousing and productionManaging and monitoring team movements and tasksCoordinating the booking and scheduling of freight forwardersActing on the Health and Safety committee and promoting a positive safety cultureEnsuring all equipment is working satisfactorilyLead regular cycle countsMaintenance schedule for equipment on site including forkliftsOperating a Forklift Truck as well as a Reach TruckPicking and packing ordersDevanning containers and putting stock awayLoading and wrapping palletsReceiving orders and preparing documentation using a computerOperating other machinery on-site a few hours a week including a guillotine and slitter machineRegularly lifting 20kgs of productOther on-site machinery operation as requiredSkills and ExperienceSome people leadership experience and ability to effectively lead a teamKnowledge of warehousing Health and Safety principlesValid Forklift licenseReach Truck experience and license (preferred)At least 1 year experience operating a forklift truckAbility to organise workflow for the warehousing team and follow up on outstanding issues or queriesProven experience of driving a positive Health and Safety cultureComputer literate for preparing documentationAble to regularly lift 20kgsPhysically able (lifting required)Able to pass a pre-employment drug testAbout the CompanyWe are a nationwide paper distribution company with over 90 years of operation.
