We are in search of an experienced New Zealand registered classroom teacher who has up to date knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and assessment tools.
This is a permanent, fulltime teaching role.The role will be based in our Ormiston Senior Provision.
In this role :
Our class sizes aresmall, ranging from 2–10 students per class group.
You will have a strongcommitment to learning NZSL with our full support of lessons, day to daysupport and resources.
You will work in ateaching team, which includes Teachers and Teacher Aides of the Deaf, withaccess to other specialists as required including EducationalInterpreters.
Your strong knowledge ofthe NZ curriculum means you will have the ability to raise achievement ofour akonga.
Be eligible for a MoEStudy Award for a Post Graduate Teacher of the Deaf qualification.
5 days CRT release timeper term as per PTCA plus significant additional release during aninduction phase.
Applications will be considered from teachers with recent knowledge and understanding of the core business of lifting student achievement and wellbeing.
We will support you to develop anawareness of Deaf Culture and the Deaf community.
