About the employer

This is a Heavy Auto Electrician role many will have been waiting for - this company seems to rarely be in the market looking for Auto Electricians, but still have a great operation that appears to be expanding as they outgrow their current facility.

The role

This is a company that specialises in heavy commercial trucks.

They work on a variety of brands and also contract with various franchise truck dealerships and fleet operations.

Skills sought

A relevant New Zealand National trade certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering or offshore equivalent is required

Experience providing fault-finding and diagnostics solutions to electrical and electronic systems in late model trucks

Ability to use a range of modern diagnostic equipment

Ability to competently carry out electrical repairs onsite and in the workshop facility as required

Good communication skills

The ability to relate to the end customer and explain technical solutions when customer support needs assistance

Excellent diagnostic skills on heavy diesel commercial vehicles are required

The rewards

As a guide, $43 to $48 per hour is payable for the right skills.

The employer will meet or exceed current market rates and will provide a late model company vehicle and a work environment you will like.

While it would be great if these skills are available locally, we are open to NZ or offshore-based applications that have heavy commercial diesel electrical skills.
