The role includes leading the engagement strategy, managing budgets, building relationships with stakeholders, and leading a diverse engagement team.The work involves collaborating with researchers, health professionals and communities to improve health outcomes, particularly addressing health inequities.
Knowledge of Maori health and culture is important, as the role involves engaging with Maori communities and supporting Maori health initiatives.About youYou will be an experienced engagement and communications professional, with experience in managing teams of people, particularly working within health contexts, and ideally a background in equity.
You'll be comfortable participating in strategic planning activities with partner teams, agencies, providers, researchers, and leading equity-driven discussions about how to best see positive change in health service design.Confidence in communicating with Te Reo Maori and tikanga Maori is important as you will lead the development of engagement materials that are appropriate for the target participants of our research programmes.
The position requires excellent communication skills, project management ability, and experience working with diverse groups.
