This role focuses on acquiring new relationships and managing and growing existing ones at the upper end of the Business Banking segment.
Our bankers are expected to demonstrate strong risk management skills, including complex credit, operational, and compliance risks, acting as the first line of defense to ensure adherence to KeyBank's profitability standards and moderate risk profile.ResponsibilitiesServe as a Trusted Financial Advisor and Business Partner to clients with complex needs; act as the primary contact for most client-related matters.Drive growth and business development by understanding the client's or prospect's business / industry; analyze relevant data.Educate clients on Key's capabilities in product areas such as cash management, payments, equipment finance, etc.Maintain active prospecting efforts, including identification, qualification, and calling; develop a referral network with Centers of Influence (COI).
Assemble cross-functional teams to respond to customer requests and identify cross-sell opportunities.Enhance technical sales and credit expertise and partner with Credit on credit decisions.Lead and participate in credit processes, ensuring sound asset quality, including underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management.Perform other duties as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change.Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, acting professionally and ethically at all times.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree or 7+ years of related experience required.Experience QualificationsAt least 5 years in Small Business or Business Banking lending or related fields, focusing on business development and relationship management.At least 1 year of Business Banking credit training and experience from a bank or financial institution.Tactical SkillsTrusted Advisor, Strategic Thinking, Technical Expertise, Revenue Focus, Enterprise Perspective, Effective Sales Approach, Risk Management.Core CompetenciesDemonstrate Key's Values and Leadership Competencies.TravelOccasional travel, including overnight stays.Driving RequirementsMay need to drive to multiple locations; valid driver's license required.Job Posting Expiration Date : 06 / 25 / 2025KeyCorp is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
