We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned compliance professional to join our Personal Banking Risk division as a Senior Manager Risk and Compliance.
This is a key leadership role within our Line 1 Compliance team, focused on supporting the Personal Banking division to meet regulatory obligations and deliver better customer outcomes.The roleIn this role, you'll lead and advise on compliance matters across the Personal Banking division, with a focus on CCCFA and other lending regulation.
You'll support new initiatives and BAU activity, manage regulatory projects, and provide expert guidance on regulator enquiries, audits, and thematic reviews.
You'll own complex risk and compliance issues and incidents, lead key projects, and help shape the implementation of new policies, procedures, and controls.
Your ability to work autonomously, challenge constructively, and remain curious will be essential.About youWe're looking for someone with 7–10 years' experience in banking, compliance, or legal roles, ideally with CCCFA expertise and a background in risk or regulatory environments.
Experience working in a regulatory body, legal or consulting firm would be highly regarded.
You'll bring strong stakeholder management skills, the confidence to engage across all levels of the organisation, and the ability to distil complex technical information into clear, actionable advice.
You'll be resilient under pressure, proactive in identifying themes and risks, and passionate about driving continuous improvement.This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to ASB's line 1 risk compliance capability in a meaningful way.
