Colour & Graphic Designer

At Mons Royale, we believe action and adventure sports can be a force for good but most of the gear made for these sports is trashing the planet.

That's why we're on a mission to shift riders from synthetics to natural fibres designing high-performance merino apparel that doesn't mess up the places we love to play.

We're seeking an experienced Colour & Graphic Designer to lead the creative direction of our seasonal colour and graphic identity.

This role requires a high level of creative autonomy, technical expertise and collaboration across design, development and marketing teams.

The position plays a critical role in shaping Mons Royale's visual and product storytelling, ensuring cohesive, innovative and brand-right design across all collections.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Design

Develop and lead seasonal colour strategies across men's, women's and accessories categories.

Design graphics, trims, labels, all-over prints and visual motifs that define each season's storytelling.

Research and interpret global colour and material trends, adapting them for the outdoor and action sports markets.

Own and manage the seasonal colour architecture, ensuring a clear flow of colour across monthly product deliveries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with the Creative Director, Apparel Designer and Product Manager to align visual design with product performance and commercial goals.

Partner with Development and Marketing to ensure creative consistency from concept through to retail and campaign execution.

Present design concepts to internal stakeholders with clarity, brand understanding and strategic rationale.

Technical & Process Management

Approve lab dips, prints and trims to ensure colour accuracy and execution quality.

Manage the end-to-end design process from trend research and concept creation to production handover — maintaining brand integrity and design excellence.

What You'll Bring

5+ years of professional experience in colour, textile, or graphic design for outdoor, performance, or premium lifestyle brands.

Demonstrated ability to create and manage seasonal colour palettes, print and material design and cross-category design consistency.

Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (experience in 3D or collaborative design software such as Figma is advantageous).

Advanced understanding of colour theory, fabric behaviour, print techniques and lab dip approval processes.

Proven ability to work autonomously within a creative team environment and deliver commercially successful, brand-right design outcomes.

A strong interest in mountain culture, outdoor sports, sustainability and design innovation.

Salary

: $110,000 - $140,000 per annum
