With a head office in Melbourne and offices across Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide, Versalux has been at the forefront of lighting design, technology, and performance helping shape the evolution and revolution of lighting solutions across the region. We are now seeking a Lighting Specification Representative to join our New Zealand sales team, based on the South Island.
About the Role
As a Lighting Specification Consultant, you will play a key role in promoting, specifying, and selling lighting solutions to the electrical building services industry. Your mission : to deliver exceptional value to clients through smart, sustainable, and high-performance lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve lighting solution sales targets in line with annual goals.
- Build strong relationships with electrical specifying engineers through :
- In-person meetings and solution presentations
- Technical workshops and education on lighting standards and technologies
- Promote and utilise in-house lighting design services.
- Assist in developing lighting schedules and specifications during project design stages.
- Present design pipelines and opportunities at sales meetings.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities with :
- Specifiers, engineers, and architects
- Electrical contractors, wholesalers, and end users
- Support the quoting team to ensure timely and accurate project quotes.
- Maintain excellent customer communication and response times.
- Deliver outstanding service and be the key liaison for customer needs.
- Continuously improve internal sales systems and procedures.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about lighting, technically minded, and commercially driven — a trusted advisor who enjoys building long-term relationships and delivering results
