About the role

We're looking for a motivated and community‑minded individual to join our Arts, Culture and Lifelong Learning (ACLL) team as a Library and Service Centre Site Co‑ordinator. Based primarily at Darfield Library and Service Centre, this full‑time role (40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday) plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of our library and service centre operations.

In this role, you will :

• Coordinate daily operations at the Darfield Library and Service Centre
• Ensure the facility is welcoming, safe, vibrant, and well‑maintained
• Provide daily leadership and support to on‑site kaimahi, modelling best‑practice customer service and excellent teamwork and communication
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent staffing and service delivery across the district
• Support the delivery of lifelong learning programmes and outreach services
• Manage and promote the local library collection
