About the role
We're looking for a motivated and community-minded individual to join our Arts, Culture and Lifelong Learning (ACLL) team as a Library and Service Centre Site Co-ordinator.
Based primarily at Darfield Library and Service Centre, this full-time role (40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday) plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our library and service centre operations.
In this role, you will :
Coordinate daily operations at the Darfield Library and Service Centre
Ensure the facility is welcoming, safe, vibrant, and well-maintained
Provide daily leadership and support to on-site kaimahi, modelling best-practice customer service and excellent teamwork and communication
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent staffing and service delivery across the district
Support the delivery of lifelong learning programmes and outreach services
Manage and promote the local library collection

About you
You're a natural people-person who thrives in a dynamic, community-focused environment.
You'll bring a positive, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
At least 3-4 years of experience in a library or customer service environment, with some leadership experience
Strong digital and technical competence
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
A collaborative approach and the ability to support and motivate others
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of Te Ao Maori
A full, clean driver's licence
You'll also have the flexibility to work across our wider Selwyn Libraries network, including Te Ara Atea in Rolleston, Lincoln, and Leeston, supporting our one-team culture and helping to deliver exceptional service to our communities.
