OverviewPermanent, full time role (1.0FTE), working 40 hours per week between Mondays and FridaysActively contribute to building healthier, more resilient communities across Northland by connecting families with essential support services and resourcesHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs part of the Healthy Homes Initiative Programme, the Kaitautoko role will provide comprehensive housing assessments (CHA) for those whanau referred to the programme.

In this rewarding role, you will support whanau in their journey with the aim to finding a warm, dry and healthy home.

You will build trusted relationships with whanau, empowering them through education and support to maintain healthy living environments.

As a strong advocate, you will connect clients with the right health and social services, helping ensure long-term wellbeing and housing stability.This role is a full time, permanent role working across the Northland region, based in the Mid North with regular travel across the area.Our Manawa Ora team sits within a wider Community Clinical Services, all with a focus on prevention and wellbeing.

The team is made up of clinicians, kaiawhina and administration.

You will be a part of a highly motivated team committed to improving health outcomes for our whanau and tamariki.

You will have experience in prioritising changing workloads while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to connect with a wide range of people and quickly build effective relationshipsPrioritisation and organisation skillsA commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomesIdeally, you will have previous experience in social or health agencies, or in working with the building or housing industry.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
