He angitutanga : The opportunityIn this rewarding and varied 6m fixed term role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day facilities maintenance of some of Auckland's most unique buildings and open spaces.
Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you'll be covering a range of Auckland Council-owned facilities across the western Auckland city area, including Avondale, New Lynn, Rosebank, Kelston, Green Bay, Blockhouse Bay and New Windsor.You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of the assets in your portfolio and work to ensure the assets meet the needs of the local community.
Some of your responsibilities will include overseeing the performance of our contractors, maximising your budget to achieve high-quality outcomes, and acting as the first point of call for all maintenance enquiries for the assets in your portfolio.He korero mou : About youYou'll be committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and be a natural at managing both external and internal stakeholder relationships.
You'll have an understanding of built and open space maintenance, and ideally have some prior experience with facilities management.
With strong administrative and computer skills, you'll also be comfortable managing a budget and providing sound financial tracking.As this role will require you to use a Council car to travel to and from facilities, you'll need to hold a full clean New Zealand driver's license.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou : What we offerWhen you join the Parks & Community Facilities Department, you'll be working with a diverse team of subject matter experts who are passionate about delivering tangible results for the local community and future generations.
