You'll provide specialist tax advice across ANZ's New Zealand operations, with opportunities to support our Pacific businesses as well.This role is all about building trusted relationships - partnering with Finance, the wider ANZ business, external stakeholders (including IRD and advisors), and ANZ's Global Tax team to deliver clear, accurate, and timely advice on New Zealand tax matters.If you are someone who enjoys problem solving, thrives in a constantly changing tax environment and enjoys bringing shared clarity to others, this role could be a great fit for you.Role Location : Auckland or WellingtonRole Type : Permanent, Full-timeKa aha to ra e kite ai?

• What will your day look likeThe key responsibilities of this role will include the following : Provide pragmatic, accurate and timely tax advice on diverse products and transactionsIdentify and communicate tax law developments which may impact products or strategies within the businessBe part of and share technical experience and expertise with the NZ and Global Tax teamsShape and sustain effective collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Inland RevenueDemonstrate living the ANZ Values and our Code of ConductOu Pukenga?
• What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following : Demonstrated experience in corporate tax advisoryStrong knowledge of New Zealand tax legislationTechnical tax expertise with the ability to make sound, supportable recommendationsExcellent communication skills both written and oralAbility to manage tight timelines and workflowsA track record of building credibility through excellence, customer focus, and strong financial and business acumenYou're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
