What You'll Do

We have an opportunity to join a supportive team in the newly created role of Assistant Tax Advisor. Working for Genesis in the complex and exciting energy industry this is not your typical compliance role, offering both variety along with training and support for growth. Some of the key responsibilities are :

• Prepare income and indirect tax returns, supporting workpapers and related forms and disclosures
• Researching tax questions and assisting the tax team to provide taxation advice to the business of the tax implications of proposed transactions, projects, business proposals and contracts.
• Preparing information requested by external tax advisors, internal and external auditors, and Inland Revenue
• Assisting the wider finance team with month end journals and reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of the monthly tax journal and tax payable reconciliations; and supporting with the preparation of tax effect accounting calculations and supporting workpapers for half year and full year statutory reporting and budgeting.
